When you looking to start a business in a community, you want to be certain that the community is going to be as welcoming as possible. We are finding in more and more instances today where communities are looking to block certain types of businesses from coming and what you will find in that circumstance is a lengthy process of trying to get your entitlements and licenses and may find that you have to resort to litigation in order to start your business. Obviously expense and delay does not serve your ultimate purpose so I would encourage anyone to investigate how welcoming your community will be. Check out with the city all of its licensing, health department and environmental requirements associated with the operation of your business. Have all approvals in writing and included as part of your business plan so that you could lay it all out as you begin to prepare and execute the steps for starting business. |
